Dub Defiance is a collection of adventures in electronic dub by OtusBattle. First of two EPs, "Session 1" contains more reggae influences.
It includes new tracks as well as re-edited tracks, recorded in the past years.
"Defiance" is our challenge to decipher our musical feelings with the sound of dub and, at the same time, a conscious provocation, an attempt to overrun the cliches of the sound.
An abstraction of the alchemic symbol of mercury symbolizes the two EPs. Alchemists believed that mercury transcended both the solid and liquid states; just as our musical writing, it can change its shape.
